Esra NEWS Agency: Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli stated in his jurisprudence session today, “We hope that Allah, with the blessing of the Quran and Attar, will resolve the Gaza issue and the issues likes of Gaza soon, and that there will be no massacre of children, that will not be a massacre of Muslims and will not be killed. May the prayers of Hazrat Wali Asr (sacrificing souls) be answered for everyone.”

He stated, “What is the duty of the scholars in the age of war? What should they do with the war? How to attend? How to advise? How to invite the society to justice and peace? In one chapter of his book, the late Kashif al-Ghita mentions more than thirty articles about the scholars' duty when the foreigner attacks? Until it reaches the fourteenth article which says«ان ینادوا فی الناس أین غیرة الاسلام والمجتهدون فی نصرة خاتم الأنبیاء أین الآخذون بثار شهید كربلاء». And now, the Muslim world should be told the same "show the honor of Islam" that Gaza should not be left alone. Everyone should try and help to open the Rafah crossing, it should not be said that he was a Shia, he was a Sunni, or the like.”

His Eminence said, “We have two slogans in Muharram; One is that when we meet each other, we say, «أَعْظَمَ اللَّهُ أُجُورَنَا [و اجوركم] بِمُصَابِنَا بِالْحُسَینِ (علیه السلام) ». This is for reward, but the second sentence is وَ جَعَلَنَا وَ إِیاكُمْ مِنَ الطَّالِبِینَ بِثَأْرِهِ (علیه الصلاة و علیه السلام) » This is our religious order in Muharram and Safar. One is asking for reward, one is being a fighter and asking for motive and zeal, zeal, zeal. There is nothing higher than motive. In our traditions, there is no one more zealous (Ghayoor) than Allah. Hazrat Amir (may God bless him and grant him peace) himself also said that no one among mankind is more zealous (Ghayoor) than me. Zeal is higher than justice, zeal is higher than generosity, zeal is higher than everything.”

He said, “Why is zeal interpreted as being higher than justice? Justice means that man knows his duty, that's all. But the zeal has three principles means three principles! No one is zealous until three characteristics of rich and strong and knowledgeable gathered in a person. Zeal is to never interfere in other people's work. Why did Hazrat Amir say: «مَا زَنَی غَیورٌ قَطُّ»? No zealous person commits adultery. Whether adultery of hearing and sight or other kind of adultery. If one looked at the others when is not supposed to, he is not zealous (Ghayoor). If he covets another's property, he is not zealous (Ghayoor). It's not just about sexual matter. He envied and coveted another position and tried to get there, he is not zealous. Why did you enter another border?! So, the first thing is not to interfere with someone's privacy. Neither financial nor sexual privacy.”

 he stated, “The second principle is not to allow anyone to interfere with your privacy. A person who is not zealous (Ghayoor) raise a non-hijab, sign a non-hijab, it shows clearly that he is not zealous, because he let others to violate his sanctuary. What kind of zeal does let others into his privacy? If he was not zealous and someone else came into his country, in his own city, in his own position, in his own account, in his own book, and he was silent, then he is not a zealous person. These two meanings are clear.

He then stated, “Third, you do not give enough credit to the third! The third is that until he does not know himself, does not find knowledge about himself, does not see his limits, does not see other’s limits, cannot be names zealous. You tell him not to cross your own boundary, he has not known his own boundary! Tell him, don't let anyone enter your border, he who doesn't know his own border! So, the basic principle is that he knows his own limits, his own duty, his own rulings, and then draws a line around it, neither going out nor allowing anyone to enter.”

His Eminence said, “So, there are three main characters. One is to know this circle and arc, who am I? What do I have? What is my duty? What is my right? It has a circuit. From now on, there are two negations: don't go out, don't let anyone in. Therefore, like justice, zeal is not a simple thing to say. Know your place! Because it is not a simple matter. No one is more zealous than Allah.”

Referring to the situation in Gaza, he said, “the country is ruled by zeal. Gaza is ruled by zeal. now all the Muslims of the world should help and try to prevent the war from developing, God forbid, from spreading to other places. Secondly, the ceasefire should be confirmed and the fact that several children and innocents are killed every day from the same house is unbearable. God willing, this will be resolved soon. Those who claim to be civilized, some of them are not even human. They are animals. They are talking animals. When this human being does not think of Godly, he imagines that he is the only animal that talks, and then his system is dismantled, and he is not looking for the next life! This is why we should pray for the issue of zeal, also pray for the issue of public modesty, and safety!”
