Esra news site: A group of members of the scientific council for "Shi'a book according to the narration of Allameh Javadi Amoli" attended Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli's house and met and talked with him on Tuesday morning 17^th of October (25^th of Mehr).

In this meeting, Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli said, “sometimes authoring a book has a scientific effect, like the works of the Howzeh and the university, which is a scientific service. However, we are, in the current situation, the world is on the brink of the third world war. These brutal killings in Palestine, this child killing in Gaza and others like it, just a scientific works would not solve the problem.”

He said, “Man has two dimensions and when we say that he is superior to an angel, it means that he is stronger than an angel. As the angel's scientific system is not separate from his practical system. They would follow what they know. Humans on the other hand, is so powerful that his scientific system is separate from his practical system; It means that he can ignore something that he has 100% knowledge about and not act on it! The secret is that the system of knowledge, thought and doctrine is completely separate from the system of action, will and determination.”

He stated, “The discussion of desire and will, have been examined in Howzeh to some extent, but there are much of a difference between the discussion of determination and doctrine, and these discussions! If we don’t know ourselves, we can neither manage our lives nor we can manage society! Now the world community is on the verge of the precipice. The sign for it is what is happening in Gaza and the killing of children. The secret is, no matter what you research and study in the Howzeh and university you can only raise the level of science, knowledge and doctrinal levels, but raising the level of determination is not in the hands of the Howzeh and the university, but the level of determination is in the hands of the mosque, night prayers, prayers and supplications!”

They stated, “Just as human ears and eyes are separate from each other and it is possible that someone can see but not hear and vice versa, the system of doctrine and determination is also 100% separate from each other. Therefore, if we do not know where the system of doctrine and the system of determination is, we will never be able to reform ourselves. We have been told to reform ourselves, the prophets and saints have come and advised us to refine the soul and practice self-purification, but we must know how to practice this knowledge. We must know how to treat someone who knows the truth, but at the same time he crosses it!

His Eminence then pointed out the importance of theology and stated, “These topics are discussed in theology, which is scares in Howzeh today. In Howzeh there are many jurisprudences and Usul classes, and it has trained great professors, but theological and philosophical topics are scares in Howzeh. We can speak at an international level, think at the international level and write books an international level, but with preaching and moral advises alone, we cannot be effective an international level. The Qur'an says that man was created by Allah and Allah also introduced where we should apply doctrine and where is the place for determination and what is the ruler of the soul for harmonizing doctrine and determination. The Howzeh should explain these for the society.”

Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli stated in this meeting, “Allah talks about human dignity in the Holy Quran and human dignity can govern the world. Islamic religion does not allow war and killing anyone and those who wage such a inequal war are less than animals﴿كَالْأَنْعامِ بَلْ هُمْ أَضَلُّ﴾.”

By appreciating the efforts of this group for the compilation of the book of the introduction Shia, His Eminence said, “To compile the book, the general outlines should be defined first, and the main source should be Quran and authentic narrations. In the first chapter, identify the decisive verses related to beliefs and knowledge, identify the ambiguous verses, explain how the ambiguous verses is explained by the decisive and then have the final summary. In the second chapter, the same things should be done about the hadiths. the hadiths also have decisive and ambiguous that must be identified. The third chapter, which is the issue of reason, and here also the intellectual decisive principle must be specified, the ambiguous and delusions and what seems to be rational, but they are not must be identified. The strong intellect rules over the non-rational then have a summary.”

He said, “Wisdom is not futile. Wisdom is so valuable, it is so strong, rich and powerful that it can stand before Allah. The true reason, it can object Allah; the accurate reason can protest against Allah; But reason is a good light like the sun, and if there is no path, no one will reach the destination with the sun. The more a person studies, the stronger his light becomes, and if there is no path, it would not be of any use to human. The straight path to the truth is a perfect human being. The beloved Prophet of Islam and the infallible imams (peace be upon them) are the path, whose words and actions are evidence, their Sunnah and conduct are evidence, and the intellect must see this.”

At the beginning of this meeting, which is the second meeting of the members of the Scientific Council of the Book, “Shia according to Allameh Javadi Amoli”, with His Eminence , Hojjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Seyyed Kamaluddin Emadi, research deputy of the International Foundation of Esra and Hojjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimeen, Dr. Jahangiri, the representative of the Organization of Islamic Culture and Communication in Qom, presented a report on the process of writing the book to His Eminence and expressed their hope that this project will be compiled as soon as possible and would be available to the society and all believers around the world.
