Abu Basir was blind. He says that one year I visited the holy city of Mecca with the holy presence of Imam Baqir (PBUH). From the signs and symptoms that I felt through other senses, I understood that there are many pilgrims this year.
[I understood that] In the land of Arafat, around the Kaaba, everyone is busy with circumambulation, prayer, recitation, and supplication.
I said there are many pilgrims this year! How numerous are moans, shouts and cries!
But Imam Baqir (peace be upon him) said: It is not so!
Abu Basir's eyes saw a vast desert wherein many creatures were not human.
How few are the pilgrims and how numerous are the noises!
If someone is not a true pilgrim, he is not a human being. He appears to be human, but his character is that of an animal.
A real Hajj develops and improves the human; if someone was a real pilgrim, the real form of Hajj, would become the character of the pilgrim and it will make his reality.
If someone wants to see if his Hajj was accepted or not, after returning from the House of God, he should observe himself whether he commits sin or not!
