Esra NEWS Agency: The weekly ethics lesson of Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli was held this week at the Azam Mosque of Qom with the presence of various group people.

Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli stated that the book of Nahj al-Balaghah is a follow-up to the Holy Quran and stated, “3The luminous words of Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him) are coherent and scientific like other Imams (peace be upon them). But Sayyed Razi (may God bless him and grant him peace) did not have the opportunity to collect all the words and mention the sermons, letters or luminous words at one book. Therefore, the sermons and letters are fragmented and the context of the words is not found and this book is not recognized as a scientific reference in the Howzeh. Understanding Nahj al-Balagheh without the antecedent factor without the contextual factor caused a person like Mohaqiq (Radwan Allah Ta'ala alaihi wa sallam), one of the famous Shia jurisprudents, says «و في مرسلة الرضي», which greatly detracts from the greatness and glory of this book. There is a big difference between calling this book “Mursalat Al-Radi” and “Nahja Al-Balagheh”! It should be noted that most of these sermons and words have contexts that are found in the book "Tamam Al-Nahj al-Balagheh" and this book is one of the best blessings.

His Eminence said, “The other thing is that there are many enlightening statements of Hazrat Amir (peace be upon him) about knowledge. Self-knowledge, monotheism and the revelation, prophethood, and Imamism are important parts of the Imam's teachings, but before knowing our imams, which are the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), we must know the imam inside us. We have both theoretical and practical abilities. We have a theoretical intellect for thought, and the subset of theoretical intellect is the power of fanaticizing and the power of imagination, which are to understand. These abilities are active in the Howzeh and university, where a person becomes a scholar. But becoming a scholar, becoming a scientist, becoming a jurist is half of the way. Through knowledge, we know good and bad, halal and Haram, but we live with determination, not doctrine! The one who governs the body is determination, which is followed by willpower, activity, and effort, and this is for mosque, night prayer, congregational prayer, Friday prayer, reciting the Qur'an, supplication, lamentation, and crying. These build up a person.”

He stated, “This is a general principle of the Quran that some people, whether in the Howzeh or in the university, know something for sure that is bad, but they do not leave it and sometimes commit it openly of privately. Why? Because they do not have an imam. Our imam is not in Howzeh or a university. Our imam is not reasoning, philosophy, Kalam, jurisprudence, etc. Our Imam is a practical intellect, an intellect that «مَا عُبِدَ بِهِ الرَّحْمَان وَ اکْتُسِبَ بِهِ الْجنان».

His Eminence stated, “You must control science. This science is rebellious, it makes what is halal, Haram and the Haram, Halal. The blessed existence of Musa Kalim addressed Pharaoh: ﴿لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا أَنزَلَ هؤُلاءِ إِلاّ رَبُّ السَّماوَاتِ وَ الأرْضِ بَصَائِرَ﴾ It has been proven to you. You are 100% sure that I am right, but you are going astray. This enlightening statement of Musa Kaleem to Pharaoh is mentioned in the Holy Quran as a general principle that some people are sure about what Allah said what the Prophet said, but they are going astray. Why? Because knowledge is not the Imam. Practical reason is in charge of leading human plans.”

Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli stated in his commentary on the 123rd wisdom of Nahj al-Balagha, “Some consider this hadith to be from the blessed existence of the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) and in some versions Nahj al-Balagha did not include it. In this hadith he says that «طُوبَى لِمَنْ ذَلَّ فِي نَفْسِهِ» Tubi means good and pure life. A person has a good and pure life who is humble inside and, not humiliated. Humankind is dear to Allah. Believers does not own his\her honor. It is a divine trust. A believer has no right to dishonor and humiliate himself. Then he said: «وَ طَابَ كَسْبُهُ» He earn Halal. because Allah has not created anyone without sustenance, and if a person is good and pure, He will also provide good and pure wealth. His business will be good and pure. «وَ صَلَحَتْ سَرِيرَتُهُ» the inner self is also righteous. «وَ حَسُنَتْ خَلِيقَتُهُ» the structure is also beautiful.

He said, “His Holiness says «وَ وَسِعَتْهُ السُّنَّةُ، وَ لَمْ ینْسَبْ إلَى الْبِدْعَةِ» In everything we want to do, we can have two Ijtihads: an ijtihad of jurisprudence and Usul that are common, an Ijtihad of innovation where it was not there, this is not innovation! This is tradition. Someone is a good sociologist, economist, guide or innovator; He can do good work in the country and innovate. The hadith «مَنْ سَنَّ سُنَّةً حَسَنَةً كَانَ لَهُ أَجْرُهَا ...»is about this. Some traditions are set by our previous elders. He said to do this, why are you not mujtahid in economics?! If we have an innovation that solves our problem, if we have a good method and tradition in governance, in the administration of the country, in managing the budget and economy, these are a good blessing.”
