According to the reporter of Isra NEWS Agency, on the occasion of the beginning of the New Year holidays and the beginning of Nowruz trips, dear readers, we are reviewing a selection of the recommendations of Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli to Nowruz travelers.

Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli, in one of his meetings with traffic officials, regarding the issue of internal and external human pathology, pointed out the issue of avoiding pride and selfishness and said,"a point that is related to travel and Nowruz days and Ourselves for the whole year, is that we must have a pathologic view, we must have enemyology. we take into account all external damages and foreign enemies and we are trying to protect ourselves from them. We calculate the road, the car, the traffic law, the permitted and speed limit and the right of way, all of these are necessary, but these include at most ten or twenty percent of road damage, eighty or ninety percent of it, is related to the internal enemy, which is not known, and that is pride, selfishness. The feeling of I have to go forward; my perfection is to go fast and things like that."

He continued,"We must recognize this enemy, and if we don't recognize it, it is 100% harmful, because he provokes people, he says you should do this, now you goes faster, then what?! What happened?! Who says go faster? Does reason say or does lust say? Those who go on the road by this mentality, they cause accidents, they all think they have the right of way, where it's not like that! Assuming you went ahead, what perfection you attained? What virtue is it? Is this a math olympiad, so you got the first place?!"

His eminence continued,"Of course, the car must be safe, the road must be good, but on this same road, this same car, wise people have traveled the same road for many years without an accident, now there are respectable drivers who may not have had an accident in thirty years. A rational and cogent driver travels the same road with the same car without an accident because he has known the inner enemy and restrained it."

He then pointed to a saying of Amir al-Mu'minin, peace be upon him, and stated, "This is the enlightening statement of Ali bin Abi Talib (peace be upon him): "lust is the partner of the blindness." If a blind person wants to sit behind the wheel, he is a certain danger; A capricious and proud person sits behind the wheel, is the same; It is an statement of a infallible that following lust is a form of blindness, and if a blind person sits behind the wheel, an accident is certain. We do not know this pride and selfishness, this stupidity that we think that if someone drives fast, he is an artist, or has reached perfection, until we don't recognize this enemy, we do not know the ninety percent of dangers."

At the end of his speech, His eminence stressed the necessity of knowing the inner enemy of mankind and acknowledged,"the cause of these accidents is not anybody but the enemy within. the whole problem is within us. if we really solve this problem of pride and selfishness and such, if we really know the inner enemy, we are safe not only in Nowruz, but in the whole year; Not only in traveling, but also in our home; We are protected not only in normal social issues, but also in political and cultural issues."
