Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli stated in this meeting "The most important and key work and basis for preserving Sharia is the blessed existence of the Howzeh, and in the Howzeh, management is the most important."
Referring to the greatness of the Howzeh of Najaf, he pointed out, "All the Howzeh around the world are nourished by the Howzeh of Najaf, and if you deprive Howzeh from the outputs of Howzeh of Najaf, Howzeh would not have anything to show for. From the books of Arba'ah to Rasa'il and Makasab and Kefaye, all are the output of the Howze of Najaf. Of course, the Infallible Ahl al-Bayt's are certainly the source of all blessings, but this success of the Howzeh of Najaf is not only due to the blessing of the presence of the holy shrine of Hazrat Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him). You can see six infallibles are buried in Madinah, but there is not such outlet. the reason for the success of Howzeh of Najaf is the good management of the scholars likes Seyyed Morteza, who provided scholarships to talented students and then he provided them with scholarship."
Emphasizing the culture of supporting the talents of Howze, His Eminence said, "The culture of elitism is the legacy of Seyyed Morteza. Seyyed Morteza was a good manager and paid more attention to the more talented students. Sheikh Tusi was an example of the great Shiite scholars. Two of the four main books of Shia Hadith are from that noble man.
Emphasizing the role of good management in Howzeh, he said, "In one of the enlighten prayers of the Sahife of Sajjadiyyah, we ask Allah to grant us the opportunity to have «حُسن الولایه» and away from «سوء الولایه»; Hussn al-Walayeh means good management, it means that a person can manage well those who are subordinate and under his command; This was good in the work of Seyyed Razi and Morteza, which should be institutionalized in the management of Howzeh."
He emphasized, "If Howzeh wants to be successful, it must stop the sale of saplings in Howzeh and prevent talented student from engaging in non-academic jobs with proper management and supporting talented students.
In another part of his speech about the sciences that should be taught in Howzeh, His eminence stated, "Now the main topic in Howzeh is jurisprudence and Usol, and less attention is paid to Quranic topics. Nonetheless the main subject of Howze discussion must be the Holy Qur'an."
He expressed, "by the belessing of Qur'an the Ahl al-Bayt the path is open wide, and there is no room for despair. We hope that under the shadow of piety and good management, the sanctity and scientific expertise of the Howze will be more than before and the bases for the growth of Howze will be prepared."
