Esra NEWS Agency: The weekly Akhlaq session of Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli was held this week at the Azam Mosque of Qom with the presence of various group people.

Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli explained the 125th wisdom of Nahj al-Balagha in this meeting.

His Eminence said, “His Holiness said that«لَأَنْسُبَنَّ الْإِسْلَامَ نِسْبَةً لَمْ يَنْسُبْهَا أَحَدٌ قَبْلِي الْإِسْلَامُ هُوَ التَّسْلِيمُ وَ التَّسْلِيمُ هُوَ الْيَقِينُ وَ الْيَقِينُ هُوَ التَّصْدِيقُ وَ التَّصْدِيقُ هُوَ الْإِقْرَارُ وَ الْإِقْرَارُ هُوَ الْأَدَاءُ وَ الْأَدَاءُ هُوَ الْعَمَلُ» When the Islamic government stablished, the claimers for true Islam were a lot, and during the time of Amirul Momineen, there were different sects that claim we are true Islam. But they were not real Muslims, Hazrat says, I define Islam so that you know Islam better.”

Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli said, “Amir al-Mu'minin, in defining Islam in this shining word, says: The collection of well-reasoned beliefs, the collection of actions with sincerity, and the integration of these two sets is called Islam. A person is a Muslim who studies these teachings in the knowledge, science and opinion section, and believes in the belief and credence section, and acts sincerely in the action section of what he understood and believed in the research, if this collection is composed, this is Islam.”

He continued, “Amir al-Momineen says: Before me, there were the companions of Saqeefah who never had that scientific research, nor practical devotion, and neither the combination of scientific research and practical devotion was important to them, and therefore it is enough for them when someone says I am a Muslim! that's why Hazrat says at the beginning of this wisdom: «لَأَنْسُبَنَّ الْإِسْلَامَ نِسْبَةً لَمْ يَنْسُبْهَا أَحَدٌ قَبْلِي» This awarness was not in Saqifa and before Saqifa!”

His Eminence stated, “Amir al-Momineen said: I introduce Islam in a way that no one before me has not introduced. Islam means submission to Allah, and submission means having certainty, and certainty means correct confession, and correct confession is fulfilling duties, and fulfilling the duties is the same as following the rules of religion.”

His Eminence continued, “Islam means that a person should not be caught up in illusions, suspicions, deceptions, and doubts in scientific matters, and should not accept anything but certainty. It means one should prove a predicate on a subject with precise researches; And then he should believe in reality, that is, what was accepted for him in the opinion section and tie the subject and the predicate, after that, he should tie the extract of his researching with his life and this person will become a believer and believe that this the subject has this predicate!”

He said, “All people, especially us in Howzeh, should not be happy that we have understood something, rather, understanding and knowledge are half the way, the Qur'an clearly said, ﴿وَجَحَدُوا بِهَا وَاسْتَيْقَنَتْهَا أَنْفُسُهُمْ﴾. Some people, even though they are certain, still knowingly and deliberately go astray. So, knowledge cannot be our only Imam. Reason alone is not our Imam. It is realized, it is a believing world; Like eyes, ears, hands and feet, all of which must be healthy to save a person from danger. This is the powerful soul, which is accomplished both in the field of knowledge and in the field of action. It is a believing scholar; Like eyes, ears, hands and feet, all of which must be healthy to save a person from danger.”

He said, “If healthy eyes and ears, which are the power of knowledge, and healthy hands and feet, which are the power of action, are at the control of a good and pure soul, one can hear well, see well, and act correctly. Merely seeing snakes and scorpions cannot save a person and repel danger from oneself, but must also be the hands and feet to kill that danger or run away from it.”

He said, “Amirul Momineen said: In the field of scientific research, a person should be careful not to be caught in doubts and suspicions and not to replace anything with certainty. If one wants to be a Muslim, conjecture and probability and the like cannot create certainty. Islam is submission to the truth. If it is a scientific case, it must be a proof, or an explanation, or an obvious predicament, or a theory leading to an obvious predicament. Certainty is the affirmation, and affirmation is effective when it scientifically considers this predicate to be proven. Tie this to practical reason and believe in it; It means that the scientific belief should be converted into a practical belief. So, the first part is scholarly research and the second part is religious belief and investigation. The third part is that the essence of reason and action reaches the hands and feet and the person acts. Therefore, in the end, he says that Islam is the action «هُوَ الْعَمَلُ» If one act accordingly, it shows that is a true Muslim. Sincere action becomes Islam, this definition prevents hypocrisy, of course, for those who accept advices.”

Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli stated in another part of his speech, “In the 53rd letter to Malik Ashtar, Hazrat says, «و إنّما عِمادُ الدِّينِ و جِماعُ المسلمينَ و العُدَّةُ للأعداءِ العامَّةُ مِنَ الاُمَّةِ ، فليَكُن صَغْوُكَ لَهُم و مَيلُكَ مَعَهُم» People are the pillars of religion. People protect religion in the day of danger. People's satisfaction must be ensured. Don't trouble them and manage them well.”
