Isra's NEWS agency: On the occasion of the 13th of Jumadi al-Thania, the anniversary of the death of Hazrat Umm al-Banin, peace be upon her, which is also called the day of honoring the mothers and wives of martyrs, we are reviewing some of the statements of Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli in this regard.
Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli, in a meeting with the families of the martyrs, said, "A martyr will never perish and will never be forgotten and will never forget us. On the other hand, our duty is not to forget the martyrs, and this is possible both by commemorating them and by following their path.
His eminence addressed the honorable mothers and families of the martyrs and said, "You elders and the families of the martyrs are the treasures of the country and you can protect this country from any danger, because Allah is a guest of the broken hearts and the families of the martyrs are sure have the broken hearts. So, everyone try to be the good host for the Allah the Almighty and ask Allah to solve the problems of this country.
Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli reminded the calamities of Hazrat Umm Al-Banin and the sacrifice of that lady and said, "After the Ashura, when the news reached Madinah, the first person that Umm al-Banin asked about was the Seyyed Al-Shuhada (P.B.U.H). She did not mention the blessed name of Qamar Bani Hashem (P.B.U.H.) and she said, "My children are the sacrifices for Husayn bin Ali (P.B.U.H)."
He continued, "Later, when political situation became a bit free in Medina, she used to go to the cemetery of Baqi. In Baqi, she made four symbolic graves in the name of her four sons. She gathered the women of Medina there. Umm al-Binin recited a dirge and said, "From now on, the women of Medina don’t call me Umm al-Binin, because Umm al-Binin means mother of children! Once I was the mother of the children when my children were alive, from now on do not call me the mother of the children: «لا تَدْعُوِنِّی وَیْکِ أُمَّ الْبَنِینَ تُذَکِّرِینِی بِلِیُوثِ الْعَرِینِ؛ کَانَتْ بَنُونَ لِی أُدْعَى بِهِمْ وَ الْیَوْمَ أَصْبَحْتُ وَ لا مِنْ بَنِینَ».
In continue his eminence said," Hazrat Umm al-Banin used to say in those elegies, they told me that your Abbas took the waterskin by his tooth. People normally carry the waterskin by their hand. What happened to the hands of my son so he tried to carry it by his tooth?!
"Peace be upon you, O People of the House of Prophethood, and the mine of the message, and the meeting place of angels. Peace be upon you, and upon your souls, and upon your bodies, and upon your appearance, and upon your innermost, and upon present ones, and upon the absent ones, and upon the first of you, and upon the best of you, and Allah's mercy and blessings be with you."
