Esra NEWS Agency: A group of members of Farhang Jafari Foundation met and talked with Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli at his house.
Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli stated in this meeting, “The topics of monotheism, Prophetology, Imamology, predestination and freewill and theological topics should be importance in the Howzeh and it is necessary to have theological discussion in the Howzeh.”
He said, “Theology helps jurisprudence and Usul with its intellectual proofs and control the pen and expression so that we do not talk uncontrollably. Entering into theological topics of course should be precisely planned because these topics are precise and entering this subject is Haram for many, because this is where one must understand and reason.”
His Eminence stated, “An enlightening statement has come from the Messenger of God (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his family) which he says «أَعْدَی عَدُوِّكَ نَفْسَكَ الَّتِی بَيْنَ جَنْبَيْكَ» The worst enemy of human is within ourselves. One must stop the enemy inside, i.e. lust, because this is not like a disease that only destroys the human body, but this lust and desires, would not stop until make a person dishonorable and discredited. does not leave a person and therefore we should always be careful with our words and actions as well as our behavior.”
Stating that theology and rational criteria should be in the main axis of Howzeh, he said, “We must have an Imam before the society and the country have an Imam, but our imam is not science, but our Imam must be reason. Science should be rationalized. Science must be controlled «و بالعقل یعتقل». We should know the intellect so we don't mistake the imagination with intellect las some people do but reason is «الْعَقْلُ مَا عُبِدَ بِهِ الرَّحْمَنُ وَ اكْتُسِبَ بِهِ الْجِنَان». Therefore, at the end of introduction of precious book of Al-Kafi, the late Kilini states that the cultural pole of a nation is intellect.”
