Emphasis on the Scientific and Knowledgeable Position of the Tasneem Exegesis in Academic Societies
The pre-conference of the International Conference of the Tasneem Exegesis took place in the conference hall of the Cultural and Islamic Guidance Administration of Amol County, attended by Ayatollah Mohammadi Laeini, representative of the Supreme Leader in Mazandaran Province, Hujjatul-Islam Morteza Javadi Amoli, president of the Esra International Foundation of Revelational Sciences, and Hujjatul-Islam and Muslims Yaqoubian, the Friday prayer leader of Amol.
In this gathering, which included scholars, clerics from the seminary and university, officials, and researchers, the significance of this valuable 80-volume exegesis, resulting from forty years of scholarly efforts by Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli, was emphasized by the speakers. They elaborated on the esteemed position of this exegesis and its impact on the spreading of Islamic knowledge.
During this meeting, Hujjatul-Islam and Muslims Professor Morteza Javadi Amoli highlighted the unparalleled status of this work in elucidating the profound teachings of the Quran.
In his remarks, he regarded the Tasneem Exegesis as one of the important knowledge bases of the Islamic world and added: This work has been presented to humanity over 40 years of scholarly effort and in the form of 80 volumes, providing a foundation for a deeper understanding of the Holy Quran.
He stated that one of the main topics of discussion was the position of the Quran in jurisprudence and religious thought, where the esteemed professor has, with a special perspective, brought the Quran out of neglect and placed it at the center of jurisprudence and Islamic sciences.
Professor Morteza Javadi Amoli, referring to the extensive scholarly resources of this interpretation, noted that in the compilation of the Tasneem Exegesis, over 500 credible sources from both Shia and Sunni interpretations have been examined, and this work has been written with a perspective of free scientific inquiry. This esteemed Exegesis holds a distinguished place among Shia and Sunni interpretations due to its use of over 500 scholarly sources.
He also pointed to the role of the Islamic Revolution in the development of Islamic sciences and the liberation of the research environment in seminaries, stating: If today we witness the expansion of theological, philosophical, and mystical discussions in seminaries, part of this is due to the scholarly atmosphere created after the Islamic Revolution.
Professor Morteza Javadi Amoli remarked that one of the prominent features of the Tasneem Interpretation is its comprehensive and open-minded approach to analyzing and interpreting the verses of the Holy Quran. This work has opened new horizons in the interpretation and understanding of Quranic teachings and still requires further introduction and clarification. Therefore, numerous scientific meetings should be held to promote and introduce this Exegesis so that the Islamic community can increasingly benefit from the light of this sun of knowledge and science.
In another part of his speech, Professor Morteza Javadi Amoli emphasized the importance of promoting Quranic culture in seminaries and universities, stating: Today, around 600 theses in both seminary and university contexts related to the Exegesis of Tasneem have been compiled, which demonstrates the scientific significance of this work in academic circles.
It is worth mentioning that the international conference on the interpretation of "Tasneem," the monumental scientific and interpretative work of His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli, will be held on the sixth of Esfand this year at the Dar al-Shifa school conference hall in Qom.
During this conference, there will be a celebration and conclusion of this significant work, along with the unveiling of 80 volumes of the esteemed Tasneem Exegesis and 20 volumes of thematic interpretations of the Holy Quran.
